Smile (2022)
After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can't explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.
Animal Action
In the scene when the actress walks in her house and is greeted by her cat, prior to filming handlers held on to cat off-camera. They prepared the action prior to filming.
When ready to film, handlers took the cat out of the carrier. On action, the actress entered and closed the door. Shortly after, the handler cued the cat to walk over.
Between scenes, Star and her handlers waited nearby in the house with cat in her carrier.
Due to limited resources, American Humane Association did not monitor some of the cat action
