In the scene where actors are talking and we see a man walking his dog in the background, prior to shooting the scene the dog was walked on the chain leash 100 feet to his mark on the sidewalk across the street. On action, background traffic passed and the two actors simulated conversation. On cut, the dog was given food rewards and toweled off while camera angle was changed.
