The Tragedy of Macbeth (2022)

All horseback riders were stunt riders or experienced actors who were skilled at riding, mounting and dismounting. All running/galloping scenes were well choreographed, and actors used caution while on and near animals. Whenever horses were seen tied to posts/fences, they were attached to lead ropes tied to posts.

In the scene where several soldiers ride towards a castle on horseback, the horses’ reins were knotted or looped, so the reins did not fall. The scene was filmed on stage. The horses entered the stage through the elephant doorway. They wore rubber shoes for traction. The horses were well-suited to the action. The wranglers were competent horsemen. There was a sufficient number of wranglers to safely work the horses. The temperature on stage was a comfortable working temperature. The wranglers showed the actors how to mount and ride the horses.

The crows were created through CGI.
