There is a scene where Mike, a young poker playing law student, and his friend Worm go to pay a visit to Grama, a card shark, to whom Worm owes money. After entering the office, Rogue, a pit bull, is chewing on the leg of a chair and Grama picks up the dog, reprimands it and supposedly tosses it away from the chair. This scene was shot in cuts. The actor and dog were prepped prior to the scene and were very comfortable with each other. The trainer placed food around the legs of the chair and on cue the dog scratched and sniffed at the chair trying to get to the food. When the actor appears to reprimand the dog, he is actually gently tossing him about two feet out of camera range to the waiting trainer. Other animal action consists of a dog walking A to B on a leash down a street.
