Paddington In Peru (2025)
Animal Action

In the scene were we see a shot of a llama standing in a field, the wranglers brought the alpacas to a field. Each time they wandered off the animal handlers herded the Alpacas back to the grass and showed them the feed on the grass. After production got the shots of the alpacas, the handlers led them back to their holding area.
In the scene where the family walks through a marketplace and we see a man with his dog in the background, wranglers planned the animal action prior to filming. On set, the trainers gave the dog on its leash to background actor. On action, the actors followed each other through the busy set while the background actor sat on a porch with the dog sitting beside him. The dog was brought back to his cool holding area afterwards.
In the scene where we see a group of soldiers on horseback ride into a forest, the horses were brought to the set by handlers. Grooms were on set the entire time. Horse team was able to park close to set, so didn’t need to travel far. The actors were trained and well acquainted with their horses. On action they rode horses at a walk up to a mark and engaged in dialogue.
In the scene where Paddington sees an insect on a leaf, the scene was shot against green screen in a studio. The wrangler placed the insect on the leaf. They got a few shots which were eventually placed in the film.
