In the scene where the man and woman ride the motorcycle in the Morrocan marketplace, escaping pursuers, and we see two men with a donkey and carriage in the background, the donkeys were harnessed to small metal construction carts, the carts were two wheeled with rubber tires. The donkeys wore handmade rope bridles with loose ring snaffle bits. The donkeys wore cloth and wood pack saddle fastened with rope and nylon girth and nylon breechings. The donkeys and their handlers were at a safe distance from the motorcycles and general action.

In the scene where the actor gets out of the cab and we see an extra with a dog on a leash in the background, the set was closed off to traffic. The background actor was told her start and end marks. The experienced background actor and dog rehearsed their path at a walk a few times to familiarize the dog with her path.

Due to limited resources, American Humane Association did not monitor any of the pug action.
