In the scene where a man presses a button and a tiger walks out of a cage, four trainers were on set. The tiger was prepped and on location the day before shooting. The trainers erected a perimeter between the tiger and the crew that was ten feet high. The tiger was brought through a roll cage which was connected to the perimeter gate. The camera looked through a small cut out section of the cage. The trainer was inside the perimeter directing the tiger with a feed stick. On action, the trainer cued the tiger to snarl. All of this was shot in front of a green screen. After a few takes of the tiger walking and growling, the trainers brought the tiger back to his compound.

When we see a shot of millipedes in a jar, then we see the same millipedes crawling through blood on the floor, a wooden frame was placed on the floor. Prior to shooting the actor stood inside the frame, plastic tubes were placed near his feet. Fake blood was placed over the plastic tubes. On action, the live millipedes were put in the tubes. The crawled on the wooden frame, hardly touching the blood. The fake blood was non-toxic and didn’t affect the bugs. After filming each millipede was rinsed with water and returned to their owner.

In the scene where we see a dog lying at his owner’s feet in a trailer, the trainer brought the dog to set, which was an old RV. The dog and the actor were acquainted with each other before shooting. The trainer cued the dog to sit at the feet of the actor. They filmed the scene. No issues!
