In the scene where the actress drives car and pulls into driveway with a dog in passenger’s seat, prior to filming the handlers loaded the dog into a production shuttle van and were driven from basecamp to the set location. Upon arrival to set, handler unloaded the dog from the van. Then handler introduced the dog to the actors who would be working in the scene with the animal. The actor drove the car at a slow speed on the driveway leading up to the house. The handlers stood off-camera the entire time.
On action, the actor drove the car on the driveway at approximately 15 mph. The dog sat on the passenger seat while the actor in the passenger’s seat held the dog’s leash. The driver parked the vehicle at the end of the driveway near the house and the actors got out of the car.
In this same scene they walked dog to swimming pool. On action, the trainer stood off camera and made sure the dog never got too close to the swimming pool.
In the scene when the actors walk into house with dog and dance, trainers and director discussed the scene before shooting. On action, the trainer cued the dog to walk inside the house. While the actors danced, the trainer cued the dog to not get too excited.
