12 Dogs of Christmas, The

Set in a small Northern town during the height of the Great Depression, this screenplay originated from a holiday tale written by Emma Kragen on the back of a restaurant placemat when she was just seven years old. The protagonist, also named Emma, is sent away from the big city when hard times hit and finds a temporary home in the quaint town of Doverville. Despite its picturesque appearance, the mayor and his brother are on a quest to rid the town of all dogs and disband its canine orphanage. Emma rallies her new friends to help save the orphanage and restore the true spirit of Christmas to the citizens of Doverville.
