When Dr. Evil thaws, the cat is seen without any hair, leaving one to believe that something went wrong during the freezing process. The trainer placed the cat on his mark and retrieved him at completion of the shot. A sphinx cat, rare and naturally hairless, was used for the scenes of the cat after the thawing process. A fake stuffed cat was used for the shots of the cat frozen.
